Back in Business

That wasn’t a deliberate cease and desist in my blogging.  I realise I’ve only just started and nobody is reading this anyway and really taking a two month break isn’t the best plan but it wasn’t my fault.  Computer meltdown situation meant I wasn’t in a position to sit and write bollocks for a long period of time.  In fact I could barely check my email and don’t get me started on how much I’ve missed Iplayer.  But anyway it’s all over now.  Safely back on the internet and ready to take a second stab at getting this up and running again.

However it does seem that bugger all has changed in the last few weeks – Gordon Brown and the Labour party are just caught in an endless downward spiral.  Things have gotten so bad that one could almost – and I mean almost but not quite – be forgiven for feeling sorry for Gordon Brown.  He’s in the tightest corner possible with no hope of recovery – short of getting down on his hands and knees and kissing the arse of every citizen of Britain on a live telvised event hosted by Ant and Dec there is no hope for him.

The majority of his problems stem from the fact that the economy has gone so haywire people who don’t care about politics are being stung in the pocket.  With most new PM’s they could turn around and say an economic downturn isn’t there fault but as the man who has been at the helm of the British economy for the last decade he’s the only person in Britain who can’t say it’s not their fault and sound convincing.  He’s becoming ever more reclusive and ever more unpopular.  The terribly sad thing is unless the suicide election scenario goes ahead then we are looking at another 18 months of this dismal picture of British politics.

Still at least we don’t live in Zimbabwe.
